With a focus on building strong fundamentals, this course is the perfect starting point for beginners over 8 years of age. Your child not only builds a strong foundation they need to become a confident and skilled Carnatic Vocalist with our professionally qualified & friendly instructors. But also connect with their culture, traditions and heritage through music.
Prerequisites
- Ideal age of student - 8 years or above
- Interest in music + willingness to practice regularly

- A brief introduction to Carnatic music and Saint Purandara Dasa
- Introduction to Basic concepts of Shruthi, Swaras, Thalam, Kaalam, and Sthayis

Learning Outcomes You Can Expect
- Sound knowledge of the history of Carnatic music, Saint Purandara Dasa, and basic concepts like Shruthi, Swara, Thaala, Kaala, etc
- Become familiar with all seven notes / swaras and should be able to sing them in correct Swarasthanas/position
- Sing all 4 Varase in all 3 speeds with thaala
- Will be able to comfortably sing higher and lower octave notes.
- Sing 5 or more Carnatic light music songs.
